LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. -- Loudoun County authorities are investigating several reported prowler incidents and asking residents to report suspicious activity.Two recent incidents happened in the Ashburn Farm area, sheriff's deputies said.In the first case, a teenage girl told deputies she exited her home on Cherrystone Place at about 2:15 a.m. on July 11 to see an unknown man sitting on the porch.
The man grabbed the girl, and after a struggle, he fled, authorities said.The man was described as 5 feet 7 inches tall with a chubby build. He was wearing all dark clothing.In the second case, a group of friends was outside a residence on Wild Meadow Court on July 18 when the friends saw a person in dark clothing walking around the home.The immediate area was searched, including a portion of the Washington and Old Dominion Trail.Investigators said it is unclear if the cases are related. Members of the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are researching other suspicious person calls in the county.The agency is reminding residents to report any suspicious activity or persons to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office by calling 703-777-1021.People with information on any of the prowler cases are asked to contact the Loudoun Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475.
